Night Call:

Overnight in-house night call for first-year residents is only once every four weeks when assigned to inpatient medical services, and every fourth night when in the ICU. Call rooms are comfortable and only steps away from the nursing stations. There is no night call responsibility when on emergency department, neurology or most subspecialty electives. A night float system is in place with a first-year and supervising resident assigned to take in-house call from 7:30 p.m. to7:30a.m. six days per week. The work week is not allowed to exceed 80 hours per week, and residents have at least one day off per week.  The Program is committed to complying with all  current ACGME  requirements.
