Department of Internal Medicine - Core Teaching Faculty:

The Department of Medicine contains subspecialty divisions in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Gerontology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology/Hematology, Pulmonary Medicine, Intensive Care,  and Rheumatology. The major clinical departments are headed by full-time or part-time faculty who are extensively involved with the Internal Medicine Training Program. 

There are seven full-time key faculty Internists, forty-six core teaching faculty and many additional volunteer faculty members.  All of the core teaching faculty are board certified in Internal Medicine or their sub-specialties, and many have clinical faculty appointments at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
